The English Garden and the Seashell Cottage

Let yourself be tempted by a romantic walk in the English Garden of the castle de Rambouillet, in the direction of the Age of Enlightenment!

A charming English Garden

The English Garden was created in the 1770s at the request of the Duke of Penthièvre, grandson of Louis XIV, who wanted to offer his family a new entertainment that was in vogue at the time!

Following in the footsteps of this great 18th century lord, a bucolic walk is offered to you with its winding paths, its picturesque little bridges, its groves planted with exotic species, or its rocky heap from which a river flows... Pay attention to the game of perspectives! Without knowing it, the paths lead you to real surprises!

The curiosity not to be missed in Rambouillet ? The Seashell Cottage (Chaumière aux coquillages .
