Please note: last access to the monument, 30 minutes before closing time.

Closed on Tuesdays and on January1 , May1 and December 25.

The "complete visit" ticket gives access to the castle, the Laiterie de la Reine and the Chaumière aux coquillages.

Services and conditions of visit

  • Free and shaded parking in the park, 5 minutes walk from the castle.
  • 1200 meters separate the castle from the Laiterie de la Reine. Then take a few minutes walk through the English Garden to get to the Shell House.
  • Bookstore in the castle.
  • Toilets in the castle only
  • The castle is located in the heart of the city, close to many shops and restaurants
  • No lockers. Large bags and suitcases not allowed.
  • Strollers are not allowed inside.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash in the park. No guide dogs allowed in the monuments.
  • Photos allowed without flash in the monuments.

In situation of handicap

  • Outdoor flooring: stabilized paths in the park, cobblestones and gravel at the foot of the castle and in the enclosure of the Queen's Dairy.
  • No elevator in the castle (221 steps). A few steps to access the Queen's Dairy, the interpretation area and the Shell House.
  • Folding chairs are available on request at the entrance to the monuments.
  • Possibility to book a sensory tour with a guide for an adapted discovery of the Laiterie de la Reine and the Chaumière aux coquillages.
