Services for visitors with reduced mobility
Tours and prices
Free admission and guided tour for disabled visitors and their carers, on presentation of valid proof (Mobility and Inclusion card for the French public), or organisation certificate (groups).
The Domaine de Rambouillet offers visitors three monuments: the Château, the Laiterie and the Chaumière aux coquillages.
The Château can be visited on its own or with a guide (booking required).
The Dairy and the Chaumière can only be visited on a guided tour (two departures a day for individuals, and group visits by prior arrangement).
Self-guided tours, book in advance
If you book your tickets in advance, you'll have less of a wait. Children aged 18 and under receive free admission.
Good to know
- Castle of Rambouillet :
- Limited seating.
- No toilets accessible to PRM.
- Guide and assistance dogs are allowed.
- Please bring warm clothing for visits to Queen Marie-Antoinette's Dairy and the Seashell Cottage.

The château
- Not accessible to wheelchair users.
- Castle on 5 levels, no lift.
- Many steps.
- The Château and the Dairy are approximately 1.2 km apart.
Queen Marie-Antoinette's Dairy and the Seashell Cottage
- Not accessible to wheelchair users without an attendant: several steps to enter the monuments, floor surfaces not suitable for wheelchairs.
- 8-minute walk between the Laiterie de la reine and the Chaumière aux coquillages.
The French and English gardens
- Accessible to wheelchair users with an attendant - paved paths.
- 150 hectares of gardens.
