- Groups of 20 or more paying adults.
- Any person coming with a tourism professional with no minimum size imposed.
We offer two different ways to discover the castle of Rambouillet:
The free visit
Discover the castle, the Queen's dairy and the Shell cottage at your own pace, by wandering freely through the monuments!

The conference visit
Our guide-lecturer takes you into the secrets of the castle's history and behind the scenes of the private spaces reserved for the presidency.
To guarantee a quality welcome, the group must not exceed 20 people.

Visiting tips
Destination Rambouillet !
You wish to combine cultural visit and recreational activities? Take advantage of your visit for a walk in the gardens of the castle. Boats, bicycles, rosalies and go-karts are available for rent from April to November.
Only 2 km from the castle, the Sheep Farm also offers many activities around its educational farm.
Do not hesitate to consult the section "Things to do around the monument".

Conditions of visit
Visit with peace of mind!
- Reservation required at least 1 month in advance.
- Free and shaded parking in the park, 5 mn walk from the castle.
- Bus or car access: drop-off at the foot of the castle. Please inform the reception before your visit.
- 1.2 km separates the castle from the Queen's dairy (free parking at the foot of the monument). The Shell cottage is located near the dairy.
- Bookshop in the castle.
- Toilets available in the castle during opening hours.
- The monument is closed between 12:00 and 13:30.
- No covered picnic area in case of bad weather.
- 221 steps to the castle. No elevator.
- Folding chairs available on request at the monument entrance.
